I found this list on Pinterest and I thought it was very fitting for today's post. When looking through my closet I have a list of "timeless pieces" that I will never throw out, I also have a list of things I want to own. For instance, I'm a huge fan of blazers. They're super flattering and I had one in almost every color except for black, which is weird because a black blazer seems like a must-own because they match everything. But, today I found one at Ann Taylor, originally $130 and I got it for $30! It was such a steal because its lined and looks expensive. So I was happy to knock one of my "to-buy" items off my list.
In regards to this list I currently have 38 of the 50 classic items. One day I would love to own a pair of diamond or pearl studs but since my ears are so sensitive I have a really hard time finding ones that don't infect my ears. I also would like to one day own a silk scarf (I have many cotton ones, not silk though...even though I have borrowed them from my mother). Other items on this list I would like to own, a wool pencil skirt (again own a lot of pencils...none of which are wool), and a trench coat. One item on this list I never want to own, khaki trousers. I just hate khaki so much and its not always flattering, but thats just my thought and shouldn't reflect your own closet.

Thank GOODNESS I'm not the only one who hates khaki. It's classic yada yada yada but it looks terrible on me! I ordered a bunch of pairs from J. Crew in fun colors, but even that didn't work.
ReplyDeleteI have a ton of dresses, but I don't actually own a LBD. I think I will add that to my mental list when I'm out shopping.
