Pop o' Print

Even though I went to the mall this weekend, I'm vowing to stop buying winter clothing items (unless there is something I reeeaaalllllyy want). Let's be real, my closet really doesn't need any more sweaters and I am trying to save my money for spring. I think the mall knows that I'm trying to save some cash because all the stores were lacking in their selections. It looks like the majority of stores I went to: Lord & Taylor, J Crew, Ann Taylor and Target, were focusing on getting rid of all their leftover winter items so they have room to bring out all their new spring arrivals (yay). With St. Maarten only two months away, I'm going to wait and splurge on fun tropical dresses and a new bathing suit.
I did, however make 3 purchases in anticipation for spring: a cross body bag, cheap sunglasses and navy bow flats. I was looking for an affordable fun cross body bag and a pair of sunnies that I could bring with me to St. Maarten in April that I wouldn't be worried sick about if I wore it out at night to the bars. Luckily, Target always comes to my rescue and I found this bright bag and a pair of bright pink sunglasses for the beach. On Sunday I went to Lord and Taylor just to browse and they were having a HUGE shoe sale. They added a ton of shoes to their sale section and marked them all 70% off the original price. Now we've all seen those giant shoe racks that have terrible selections in random sizes but they had so many options. I ended up getting these navy Michael Kors flats for $35, which was a huge steal. I own them in black leather but I struggle to find really comfortable flats so I figured why not buy them in multiple colors. So overall, I ended up grabbing three great additions to my closet without spending a lot of money, success!

Okay, back to the outfit I'm actually wearing. I found this top in the Macy's in NYC a few weeks ago and fell in love. There are so many bright colors that it was an instant mood booster when I put it on. I can mix and match it so many different ways so I know I will get a lot of use out of it.

  1. I love this! The bright pops of color are perfect for winter (even though most people save them for spring). I think it's very cheery, and I love it. And that Michael Kors bag is amazing--definitely jealous! Also, thank you for the lovely comments you always post on my blog; I really appreciate it :) I'm hoping to keep reading more of yours now, too! It's been so busy, but I do want to keep up on my reading!
