Field Day

My leather jackets are normally my go-to jacket during the fall months but when I stumbled across the J Crew field jacket at the factory store last summer on super sale, I decided to add it to my closet. I definitely recommend checking out the Factory store first before buying items from J Crew because it's possible they have the same items for a discount price. No joke, I wore my factory version field jacket to the regular J Crew to compare them and they were the exact same thing except the Factory version had different pipping on the INSIDE of the jacket!
The field jacket has quickly become my weekend wear coat because its somewhat oversized and fits comfortably over sweaters and cardigans, unlike my leather jackets which are more fitted. My favorite part of the jacket is the large pockets because sometimes when I'm running to the store I don't always like to carry a purse with me and these pockets allow me to carry my keys, phone and cash in one. It also has that tough military feel that makes me feel less guilty when I leave my leather jackets at home because it still gives off the same vibe I'm looking for.

Booties very old (similar here and here)

I bought these booties at this small boutique in my area years ago that has since closed down and now I'm regretting not buying more pairs because they are so comfortable. Booties are huge this fall and although I'm still on the hunt for the perfect pair of brown suede ones, I can rely on these to get me through in the meantime. I'm not much of a heel girl because I'm incredibly uncoordinated (no joke I almost wiped out walking through the leaves to take these pictures), but these heels are chunky and minimal so I can wear these all day without my feel hurting.

Sweater (on clearance!) // Leggings // Necklace Macy's, old (similar) // Aviators

My new cable knit wool sweater finally arrived in the mail and it's definitely going to be a fall staple for me. It's long which I love because I have the option to wear it with both jeans and leggings and its very soft. I definitely recommend checking it out because it's on clearance!

Bag Coach, very old (similar)

I received this Coach bag as a Christmas gift when I was in high school, which means its almost 9 years old! I remember being in New York City with my mom looking for the "perfect" brown leather bag and going from store to store searching for it. Finally, when I laid my eyes on this beauty, I knew it was the one. Now, 9 years later I still use this bag because it's timeless. I'm a firm believer in spending the extra cash on classic leather bags because you really will have them forever and they will never go out of style. I can definitely see myself using this bag another 10, 20, 30+ years down the road because it will still be relevant.

What jackets are you wearing this fall?

  3. How cute are you?! I definitely would like to expand my jacket collection, but lately I've been reaching for my military inspired jacket. There's a quilted one at J Crew Factory that I've been eyeing that would be a perfect addition to my collection haha :)
