Sunday Thoughts + A Weekend Recap

Wow, despite having three days off, this weekend flew by! However, I had plenty of time to get in the fall spirit this weekend with a mixture of fun October festivities!

Here is a quick recap:

• Friday afternoon was beautiful outside, so I spent some time soaking up the sun and put up the Halloween decorations. I'm such a sucker for fun holiday cheer and I'll find any excuse to decorate inside and outside. I'm hoping that before Halloween I'll have time to carve pumpkins to put on display for trick-or-treaters on Halloween night.
• Friday night I got drinks with my friend Carla who was in town for one night. It's not often that we can get together since she lives in Massachusetts so I was happy to jump on the opportunity to catch up with her and discuss our upcoming trip to St. Maarten!
• Saturday afternoon, I got lunch with a few of my cousins and my Aunt Marge. We ended up going to this new burger place they put in my area called Burger 21 (I believe it is a chain?) and OMG the food was fabulously fattening! I got this amazing chipotle burger with guacamole on it and topped if off with a peanut butter chocolate shake. I figured I might as well go all out, pretty sure I consumed more calories in that single meal than the normal person should consume in an entire week, whoops. Thanks again Aunt Marge for treating, one of these days you're gonna let us take you out!
• The rest of Saturday was spent catching up on my blog for this week, celebrating Misa's birthday and making a lasagna for Sunday's dinner. I also watched Godzilla which came out last summer. My dad always took me to see Godzilla movies and a kid and we both really wanted to see the new one, so I ended up borrowing the DVD from a guy I work with. The movie was super cheesy but still fun.
• Today I had a busy day... apple picking in the morning followed by going to see a PSYCHIC in the afternoon! I'm super excited... more details to come soon!
• UGH I have jury duty on Monday.... yuck.
