Winter Sparkle

Oh the weather outside is frightful, so I decided it would be a good idea to take blog pictures without a coat on. Seriously, it's only December and we have a long winter ahead of us and I'm not sure how much more my cold toes can take. I literally ran outside, took the pictures as fast as I could and then ran back inside to get warm. On the plus side, this cold snowy weather has given me the excuse to finally pull out the cashmere!
Now cashmere can be pricey but it's definitely worth the investment, especially during those cold winter months. Most people have their go-to brands and typically I buy mine from Charter Club at Macy's. I always found that their cashmere sweaters were reasonably priced (with plenty of room for sales and coupons) and they always have a variety of styles, colors and patterns. Typically I get a new cashmere sweater every year for Christmas (currently I have this cream one on my Christmas list) and I received this black jeweled one last year. It's very festive for around the holidays and the jeweled neckline means you can forgo the statement necklace and try bangled bracelets instead. I wore this outfit to my aunts house for Thanksgiving part 2 on Saturday and it definitely put me in the celebrating mood.
As if the sparkly neckline wasn't enough, I decided to pair it with my glitter clutch from Kate Spade that I received as birthday gift a few years ago. There isn't many times where this clutch has an appropriate fit, but I plan on using it all December long because it's the perfect holiday bag.

How are you adding sparkle to your holiday wardrobe?

  1. Sparkle is one of my favorite things about the holidays! I love your outfit-- the clutch is perfect! To add a little sparkle into my holiday wardrobe I bought a red sequined dress from Forever 21. It was a steal and looks great too :)

  4. I love Charter Club! Most of my "professional" tops are from Macy's and the Charter Club line - they definitely hold up really well!
