New Recipe: Baked Cinnamon French Toast

Happy Tasty Tuesday!
This recipe is my go to for any special occasion, whether it be Christmas morning, Mothers/Fathers day or Easter. Its super delicious and very easy to make. However, keep in mind it has to be made the night before and refrigerated overnight.
Ingredients:
  • 1 loaf cinnamon bread (you can also use cinnamon raisin bread if you prefer)
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups half & half or light cream
  • 1 tbsp vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • Topping:
    • 1/4 cup butter softened
    • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
    • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (whichever you prefer)
    • 1 tbsp light Karo Syrup
Directions:
  • Butter or grease bottom of 9 inch pan
  • Layer bread in pan so that it fits
  • Mix together the rest of the ingredients (except topping) and pour over the bread
  • Refrigerate overnight
  • Combine topping ingredients and pour over bread in the morning
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes (it will get puffy)
  • Serve and Enjoy!

  4. French toast is my all time favorite! I actually like that it has to be made the night before because most of the work will already be done :)
