Happy Sunday Friends!
Boy do these weekends fly by, I miss my 3 day Memorial Day weekend already and the thought of a 5 day work week ahead of me does not sound appealing. But, on the bright side.... today is the first day of June! Summer is upon us and the summer traditions are becoming more frequent, which is why I love this quote from Diane Von Furstenberg. First of all, do any of you read her monthly column in InStyle Magazine? If not, I suggest you check it out, she gives out amazing fashion advice that can be applied to the 'everyday girl'. Okay back to this quote, with summer starting I think many of us could agree that certain body insecurities can start to arise, but lately I've just realized that you have to work with what you've got and focus on enjoying life in the present.
Here is quick recap of my weekend:
- Friday night I got dinner and drinks with my girlfriends at Bombers Burrito Bar in Troy. It was originally a beautiful night out so we wanted to sit outside but suddenly it started to monsoon out, so we ended up eating inside until the storm passed. I love going down to Troy in the warmer months because there are plenty of places to hang out, grab and drink and overlook the water (not that the Hudson River is much to check out).
- Saturday afternoon I did some cleaning followed by ANOTHER State Test! I am so sick of these tests! They are so boring and since being done with school my patience to sit through a two hour exam has evaporated. However, its all about promoting my career so in the end it will (hopefully) all be worth it!
- Saturday night it was beautiful outside so I went and got ice cream with my friend Meg. Sometimes it's nice to not have crazy plans, and instead just get to hang out and share a few laughs.
- Today I am headed to my uncles house to lie by the pool since it is going to be 80 degrees and sunny today! Bring on the summer tan!
- Tonight I am hosting the Game of Thrones group at my house tonight. Only 3 more episodes left in the season!

Sounds like you had a nice weekend! I wish I was sitting by a pool today, instead I'm inside working on homework for my summer classes.

Friday night laid low. Saturday I grabbed breakfast at the lake with my friend Sondra who was in town from New York City. I grabbed lunch with another friend at another lake eatery. Saturday night my boyfriend and I went to see Carly Aquilino do stand up at a comedy club in the city. Sunday was my boyfriend's birthday so I went to his baseball game, a few bars by the lake, fished, and had dinner.
