Fall Essentials

I've officially given into fall... my shorts are getting ready to be put away until next summer and I'm slowly bringing out my scarves and boots. So I thought it would be appropriate do a post on my current fall essentials. I've been lucky enough to do a guest post for Jess on her blog, Quaintrelle, so I have highlighted my first 6 fall essentials on my blog today and my second 6 fall essentials will be on her blog later this week, so make sure you check it out and show Jess some love!

  1. Leopard Belt: I can't picture a time when leopard won't be in style and I love the idea of incorporating leopard into your wardrobe without going overboard. Enter this amazing leopard calf hair belt from C Wonder. My two favorite combinations are leopard and calf hair so this belt is the best of both worlds. It would look great with a pair of jeans and my second fall essential....
  2. The Black Blazer: I have quite the set of blazers in a variety of different colors but I never owned a black one until this summer when I was able to scoop up an amazing tailored blazer for $30 on the clearance rack at Ann Taylor. But if you're looking for a cheap affordable blazer I suggest you make a trip to H&M because I love the fit of their blazers and they always have great prices. A black blazer is a perfect wardrobe staple that can be dressed up or dressed down.
  3. Black Ray-Ban Aviators: I love my Blue Mirrored Aviators, but I was looking for a more classic pair for fall. Ray-Ban always has the best sunglasses and I think these black ones with the gold trim would be perfect as a fall/winter transition piece. Side note: If you're looking to buy a pair of Ray-Bans, I recommend you wait until Macy's does their annual 25% off sale in November because you can scoop up great sunglasses at a discount price.
  4. J Crew's Cece Flat: I've said it before and I'll say it again, the J Crew Cece flat is my favorite flat of all time. They're super comfortable and come in a variety of colors (in both leather and suede)! Currently I have a pair in cobalt blue, magenta, coral, and yellow but I think it's time to grab a more fall appropriate color: Brown leather! These are perfect for those warmer days when you don't want to wear boots.
  5. Anything Leather: I love love love my black leather bomber jacket and once the weather gets cooler it becomes a staple in my wardrobe. But I've recently been trying to incorporate other leather pieces into my closet. I love this leather sleeved top from J Crew, it's officially on my wish list!
  6. Tortoise Shell: So I finally ordered a pair of tortoise shell glasses from Warby Parker! For those of you who don't have to wear glasses I looked to find amazing tortoise shell jewelry instead! This tortoise shell necklace is a great statement piece that would match so many different fall pieces!
                                                           What are your fall essentials?
*Don't forget to check part 2 of my fall essentials on Quaintrelle later this week!
Special thanks again to Jess for letting me do a guest post on her blog!*
