So after officially booking our annual family trip to Cape May NJ for July, I've got the beach on my brain. My visits to Cape May are always so relaxing because it truly is a vacation from all things work. We basically spend our entire time there either on the beach, walking around town, or eating (my kind of trip, haha!). Since we've been going there since I was a little girl the main theme has always been just to spend time together and unwind.
Despite my dislike of packing, I always enjoy planning my wardrobe for Cape May because I can bring out the "beach-wear" that I normally can't always wear back in the 518--- long flowy dresses, big beach hats and plenty of straw bags. Although there is no "boardwalk" in Cape May, there are plenty of shops and restaurants on main beach stretch with beautiful views of the ocean. So since I'm already counting down the days until I can soak up some of that beach sun, I thought I would design two outfits perfect for walking a beach town or boardwalk. The daytime look is more casual since it would most likely be hot out, and the nighttime outfit is perfect for walking the beach at night or having a dinner overlooking the ocean.
