Happy Sunday Everyone! I hope you are spending some quality time with your mom's today! It's a beautiful day in the 518 and I'm hoping to catch a couple rays outside with mom this afternoon. I knew this would be the perfect sunday thought for Mother's Day because it really is so true. I get my love of fashion and style from my mom and she has taught me everything I know! She's always the first person I go to when I need fashion advice because I trust her judgement above everyone else! Does anyone else rely on their moms for all things style related?
Here's a quick recap of my weekend:
- Friday night was pretty laid back, just catching up on my DVR which has been piling up lately. Also I recently got hooked back on The Amazing Race... I used to watch the show in the beginning but I ended up stop watching for one reason or another. Not only do I want to apply for the show now, it is really making me want to travel to these remote locations because some of the places are so beautiful!
- Saturday afternoon I finally made the complete switch over to summer clothes. It's going to be in the 80s this week so I really needed to put away the sweaters for so good. Let me tell you, changing over my clothes is an exhausting process! I have so many bins I have to go through but I was able to sort through a couple things and found a large pile to donate which makes me feel good.
- Saturday night I went out with friends to a country bar in our area. I'm the first one to admit that I don't know any country music (with the exception of Taylor Swift... if you call her "country"). However, they had a local band playing at the bar which was phenomenal. Despite me not knowing any of the words to any of the songs it was still fun to get out, have a few drinks and do a little dancing. Plus it was a beautiful night out so we were able to sit outside for a bit.
- This morning I made my mom baked cinnamon french toast for Mother's Day and now I am soooo stuffed! She loved her gift and I would have to say her day was a success.
- Later today I am headed to my grandmas for a second Mother's Day visit and I'm just going to spend some relaxing time with my mom. Hopefully I will find some time to write some blog posts for this week.
- Tonight is another Game of Thrones night at my friend Danas! We're at the halfway point in the season and it's been really awesome. This is my favorite book of the series so it's nice to see the authors visions come to life.
Side note: I wanted to share with you a photo of me and my mom but she HATES getting her picture taken. So I thought I would share this bathroom selfie we took last year in Cape May when we realized we were wearing matching outfits out to dinner. The good old days when we were nice and tan!
What did you do this weekend?
xoxo
