Here is another quick and easy recipe for you all that takes less than 30 minutes to make! I always make some form of pasta once a week but I am constantly trying to update the classic pasta dish with new ingredients. If you're a fan of spicy food, you will love this dish because it has some serious heat! You will definitely want a cold glass of milk nearby when you eat this (however for those of you who don't love spicy---just add less red pepper flakes to the recipe). I hope you all enjoy!
Ingredients:
- 3 tbsp Kosher salt
- 1/4 cup tomato paste
- 1 tbsp hot red pepper flakes
- 1 1/2 cup Pomi strained tomatoes
- 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1lb spaghetti
- Parmesan cheese and parley for garnish
Directions:
- Bring water in large pasta pot to a boil and add Kosher salt.
- Once water is boiling add pasta and cook until al dente. Drain water but save 3/4 cup of the pasta water.
- In a separate pan combine tomato paste and red pepper flakes. Stir over low heat for 5 minutes until the mixture is fragrant.
- Add Pomi tomatoes and keep on low heat until warm throughout.
- Add pasta and pasta water to sauce mixture and stir over medium heat until the pasta is coated, then coat with the olive oil.
- Garnish with parley and parmesan cheese.
- Enjoy!
**I'm aware that Pomi sauce is not something that everyone has heard of/used so I wanted to include a picture of what it looks like. It comes in a small lined box and should be available at your local grocery store.**

I am not a big spicy person fan, but Tyler is! It sounds like something he would like! I should pass it along to him for when I am out of town, haha.

I do not rally enjoy spicy stuff so I would have to take out the red pepper flakes or add less of them!!! But I love pasta so this would probably still be a hit even with the spices.
