Hooray! The weekend is finally here! This is my last weekend before I leave for Costa Rica, so of course this week took forever to end because I have a serious case of 'vacation brain.' I can only imagine how brutal next Monday and Tuesday are going to be. In the meantime, I have a lot of trip preparing to do this weekend!
Here is what I'm loving this week:
Packing
I actually really hate to pack, especially because I tend to overpack and then my luggage ends up being approximately 8,000 lbs. However, packing means my trip is less than a week away! Can you all just remind me throughout the week that I don't need to bring my entire closet with me (I need to be yelled at!). Also, serious question--- is it really better to roll your clothes instead of just packing them/does it really save you more room?!
Banana Republic Dress
I was walking around Banana Republic last weekend and they had so many cute summer dresses! While I was there I fell in love with this white beauty-- just waiting for a sale so I can make a purchase!

Divergent
This week I started the Divergent books (I know, I'm late to the game). I really wanted to read the first book before I went and saw the movie in theaters. I was worried it was going to be another Hunger Games knock-off but so far I haven't been able to put it down!
Buffalo Chicken Pizza
Tonight I'm getting dinner with my dad and we are ordering one of my favorites- buffalo chicken pizza. I need to find a good recipe online and learn to make it because it is just too delicious! I've been looking forward to stuffing my face all week.
The Weather
Yesterday it hit 66 degrees in the 518 and I couldn't be happier to say goodbye to my winter coat for good (or until next year).
What are you loving this week?

The weather has been gorgeous lately-- makes for the perfect weekend plans! Hope you have a fun weekend :)

Prep on a Budget
I've been reading divergent this week too! Can't believe your trip is almost here :) so exciting!
ReplyDelete1- totally jealous you're going to Costa Rica!
ReplyDelete2- yes, rolling actually does save a ton of space. If you can get them, buy some packing cubes. They help you separate your stuff (jeans from tops) and compress them as much as possible so you can pack more efficiently, or in my case, pack more things. :P

Thank you for the tips Kim! I'm going to try rolling this weekend!

Oh my gosh, buffalo chicken pizza, I'm drooling!
ReplyDeleteLoving that white Banana Republic dress! And how exciting your trip is almost here!
ReplyDeleteLove that white Banana Republic dress! It would look so beautiful with your dark hair and Costa Rica tan! Also, rolling is your best friend when packing. It's my secret to managing to fit everything I want into a medium-sized suitcase when I travel. I'd also recommend buying a portable luggage scale so you can weigh your bags before you go and make sure you're under the weight limit :)
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to hear all about Costa Rica on your blog!!!
I hope you saw the movie before you started reading! Divergent is such a good book so the movie cant do it justice. You dont know any better if you saw the movie first! haha!!! I cant believe its almoat time for your trip already!!! And I always rolll my clothes...I think it for sure saves space...but idk. haha
ReplyDeleteLove Always,
Elizabeth
