Happy Tasty Tuesday!
So today I have a recipe that can be used for multiple purposes. The sausage biscuits are perfect for when you are making homemade biscuits with dinner but they are so tasty that they can be popped in your mouth as an appetizer as well. My friend Megan was gracious enough to lend me this recipe after she made them for our Christmas party and I am excited that I get to share it with you today because despite their somewhat unappealing name they are soooo good.
Ingredients:
- 1 package of Jimmy Dean hot sausage
- 1.5 cups of Bisquick pancake mix
- 8 oz of shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- Warm water
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Chop up Jimmy Dean sausage finely and cook on stove according to directions.
- Drain grease from pan.
- Combine sausage with dry Bisquick pancake mix and cheddar cheese
- Add warm water just to moisten the mix, NOT SOAK
- Mix and roll into small balls.
- Cook on parchment paper until the top is golden brown (approx. 10-15 minutes)
- Enjoy!
Thanks again Meg (or should I say Megan's mom, Mimi) for sharing the recipe with me!
xoxo
