Happy Tasty Tuesday!
This recipe is my go to for any special occasion, whether it be Christmas morning, Mothers/Fathers day or Easter. Its super delicious and very easy to make. However, keep in mind it has to be made the night before and refrigerated overnight.
Ingredients:- 1 loaf cinnamon bread (you can also use cinnamon raisin bread if you prefer)
- 6 eggs
- 1 1/2 cups half & half or light cream
- 1 tbsp vanilla
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- Topping:
- 1/4 cup butter softened
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (whichever you prefer)
- 1 tbsp light Karo Syrup
- Butter or grease bottom of 9 inch pan
- Layer bread in pan so that it fits
- Mix together the rest of the ingredients (except topping) and pour over the bread
- Refrigerate overnight
- Combine topping ingredients and pour over bread in the morning
- Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes (it will get puffy)
- Serve and Enjoy!

French toast is my all time favorite! I actually like that it has to be made the night before because most of the work will already be done :)
